When the 2015 Championships officially kick off on February 2, the NBC Sports Group will be on hand to provide an unprecedented amount of television coverage for American ski racing fans showcasing over 25 hours of HD coverage from the 2015 World Championships, including live broadcasts of every event for the first time in history.
A record six hours of coverage is planned for NBC with 8.5 hours on NBCSN. Universal Sports Network will provide expanded coverage of the 2015 World Championships on both its cable network and website, airing at least 13 hours from Vail/Beaver Creek, including daily live pre-race shows, additional live coverage of events and full coverage of the Nation’s Team Event. NBC’s Olympic production team will deliver all of the programming.
EPC2015, Inc. will serve as the Host Broadcaster for the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, providing the production and world feed signal to EBU rights holders around the globe.
An anticipated 70 nations will carry live and delayed coverage of the 2015 Championships, with approximately 750 million international viewers and over 900 hours of coverage, 500 hours of that live, on tap over the course of the two weeks of competition.
